I used to have two female dogs, and they were very scared of thunder, and storms, they would shake, and hide under tables or in the closet until it was over...I now have a male of the same breed, and he is not scared of bad weather, however he's a spoiled brat, and hates going outside in the rain, because he feels icky when he is wet! :)

My husband and that i've got been in basic terms discussing this final nighttime. We ask your self how our, "chum," will react. the different night, some young ones have been taking photos off some fireworks a street over. He regarded in basic terms somewhat distressed yet after some booms, he settled down ok. i admire thunder. I in no way ought to relish storms with my son at domicile, because of the fact he replaced into so paranoid over them and walked the floor. So now with the canines, i'm hoping i'm no longer in for sleepless nights returned, yet after examining the solutions, we would have a customer in the mattress some nights! i comprehend my mom's canines went loopy and ran in circles in basic terms before we had an earthquake back in the 60s so I could agree the canines sense the vibration, and positively before we sense it.

My dog is petrified of the wind. A couple of years ago a tree crashed into the house during a bad wind storm and since then when the wind starts to howl he is right next to anyone in the house and does not want to be left alone!

I have a little Shitzu named Ziggy. He is afraid of thunder and lightning. He will stand at the door and bark at it. He also hates snow. I open the door for him to go out and he looks at me like, "Um, yeah right." I have to remove the snow on the patio and make a path that he will follow and pee all over, but he will not step foot out of the path into the snow. Sissy dog.

I have four cats some are afraid of storms and some are not, one is very timid and she is a scaredy cat, the youngest female and the oldest male are very bold, so they don't scare easily, and my youngest male is always on edge because he is a tom cat which makes him overly cautious. As far as dogs i've had they tend to be scared of storms in general, it seems to be a dog thing! lol!

My cats hide under my bed or behind my bathroom toilet when it thunders outside. But my cats are afraid of everything. A bug can fly into my apartment and instead of running towards it to play with or kill it, my cats will run away from it and hide. Big babies!!

No, she's a cat though. I have heard alot about dogs getting frightened. I am guessing it's in the nature of a dog to protect and when he/she is hearing bad, loud or suspicious noises coming from the out doors, it may make them feel fear and make them feel like they have a lack of control over protecting their family.
