How many of you feel that feminisime has killed the "man's man"? How many people wish men would be men again, and women would let them be?
I'm not saying for women to be barefoot and pregnant again, with men coming home to their little lady with dinner on the table etc, etc... I'm talking about men making decisions, being the head of the house, while still being partners with their other halves. Women do have to work today for the most part, there's not much choice in that, but women do need to stop 'wearing the pants' at home and causing our young men to be sissified. We don't want to wake up one day to a nation full of nancy pantsed men who are to scared to fight for our nation, let alone fight for their family. I think America needs to wake up.

This is a great question... while I am all for women having equal opportunity to men, what happened to the option of just "going traditional" - what's wrong with a stay-at-home mom and a working man providing for the family? I think that in our panic to attain gender equality, we have villified those who CHOOSE to ignore the modern roles and stereotypes.

I think that the key here is not saying that the woman should have all the power (ie. Sissifying the men... I like that term!) - nor should men be brutal wife-beating anti-feminist household autocrats. We should have the choice to be whatever we want; women AND men. There is a definite shortfalling to the feminist movement.

On an additional note, what the h*ll happened to all those "manly men" who used to treat women like royalty? Or have they all become "nancy-pantsed?" Is there a single one out there who would fight for a woman - never mind their entire country?

I disagree. My husband is very much a man. He and I are the heads of this household and we make the same amount of money though fiscally by a small margin (I am worth more). Does that matter to me? No. So he does chores and cooks around the house. That doesn't mean he is "sissified". Many of the top chefs in the country are men.

He would be fine going to work and having me stay home and raise our son but I prefer to work and our business much like our marriage is a partnership. You cannot be partners if one is the head aka the boss of the house. There is no equality in that. Pigs would sprout wings and fly before I had no say in what happens in my home or life and the same goes for him.

i do feel that many men are sissified. i'm all for being presentable and understanding your emotions, but rampant body waxing and hysterical crying over nothing are not ok. men have TESTOSTERONE which makes them naturally UNwimpy. so you're right, it must be the training they're getting.

i'm not sure if it's right to blame things on feminism though. i'm happy that i can hold a job, be treated with respect, be taken seriously, and have an open appreciation of my sexuality all at the same time. and since it's not all men, i blame it on poor upbringing. people aren't taught anymore how to treat members of the opposite sex. and at the same time both women and men are taught to do what we FEEL. not what's right.

anyway, i agree that men should be strong and manly and have some unsightly hair, and treat their women like queens. i think there is plenty of room for women and men to be the head of the house and make decisions together. and i think men should be tougher than me because i have ESTROGEN. i agree to treat my men like kings in the meantime so maybe they won't fall into the sissy trap.

Wow! And I thought I was the only one who believed this! Men have been completely emasculated by extreme feminism. I fail to see why a man holding open a door for me hinders my existence as a person!
But more than that, my biggest concern is that divorce rates have skyrocketed since NOW has been man-bashing. Women are raised ot think that marriage is supposed to be some long romance novel. It's not! It's bloody hard work and while ther are some days where I wish I could just kill my husband, I recognize that with communication, we will have a strong marriage.

Oh, I could just keep going.... It really incenses me!

Not at all, I dont let anyone but me define my gender roles. Yes I have a gender but it's not what I am all about, just once piece of the puzzle that is me.
