Yes she adopted a child from Malawi. There was much controversy but the little boy David is with Madge and Guy and doing okay.

He is still in her custody, yes. I understood that she was supposed to have him for one year before it was actually finalized, but I don't know if that was actually the case or if he is now legally her child.
