My laptop (G4 powerbook) came with an adapter that plugged into it so you could plug the image into a television mointor, digital projector, or any device you want. It workes flawlessly for 2 years, but recently when I try and plug my laptop into a TV all the TV produces is the backround picture with no applications or menu windows. Has the port gone bad? Is it the adapter? Software?

It wont be the connection, as if it were it wouldnt just go blank screen, you would get interfence. Maybe you installed a program that adjsuted the default for some settings. You may have to set up the port to allow video output. Try reinstalling the software. Sorry I could be of no further assistance. Perhaps it is the tv settings or av slot. If it is an old tv the port or compatibilty with the comouter may have gone out of date.
