I'm a big 10 fan, but I think Purdue and Michigan State are going to get rolled also. These Mid-Major schools play as if their butts were on fire. Some 7th place team from the PAC-10 doesn't even put forth and effort. Seriously, when was the last time the 7th or 8th team from a major conference did ANYTHING in the tournament. It makes me sick.

And no whiny Syracuse fans need to answer. You didn't deserve to be in either. Air Force was far more deserving. They beat Stanford by 30 at Stanford, yet the Cardinal gets in. It's ridiculous and Billy Packer can blow me.

No way will the NCAA admit that the selection process favors schools from major conferences. It would just be them admitting that teams dont actually get in on the merit of their schedule, but the merit of the conference they belong too. Stanford was a joke, Arkansas will be a joke, and so will many of the other so called worthy schools from big conferences. It is like this every year during the tourney pundits come up with great reasons for why schools got in and then eat their words when those schools get demolished. I am glad I wasted my time watching the game for the 5 minutes I spent on it, thats just more time I will never get back that were wasted on a team that wanted to be there, and a team that was just happy to have made it.

ok lets start this off with Stanford was a 6th in the Pac 10 now with that Stanford beat a 2, (2) 3, 4, and 5 seed in the tourny this year....there is no mid major that did nething close to that...

air force beat stanford in Stanford's 3rd game of the year...the team is made up of pretty much freshmen and sophmores so i mean they were just getting game experience together and brook lopez was hurt. Then Air Force just blew up at the end of the year and couldnt beat neone.

Stanford deserved their spot in the tourny...but there were some other teams that didnt

Nope. With the tournament being about money to the NCAA and most of its selection membership hailing from the majors, the mid-majors will continue to get shafted.

If you had any doubt that UL was gonna shred Stanford, all you had to do was look at Stanford's roster names: Landry Fields, Peter Prowitt and Carlton Weatherby.

With those names maybe they advance deep in a quiz bowl, but not the NCAA tourney.

the ncaa is a bunch of arrogant sycophants sitting in their ivory towers. look at the stupidity surrounding "offensive" mascots for another example.
