No however it can sometimes feel that you can for several reasons.
If you are so emotionally invested in a person that you allow them to emotionally hurt you then there is a part of you that still loves the person and so it is not true hate.
The opposite of love is indifference, not hate. Usually when you hate someone, it is because you are angry at wrongs they have done to you but the reason it affects you is because beneath it all you want them to return your love or at least treat you in a manner you deem respectful.
If you feel so strongly about qualities of a person or actions that they have done, that you would describe the feeling as hate then there is a fundamental flaw with the relationship. The core of love is acceptance & warmth, which cannot exist if you hate the person. It just may take a while before you are able to determine which one it is...

Well at times you may feel you hate them but if you know there is love it must be true. Follow your heart. There are rough times. Don't try to deal with them using hate. Instead find a way to ease the hate between you two.
So your answer is no. If you think both then it must mean that you love them. Because if you hated them you wouldn't be with them.

yep. I love my mom and would do anything for her, but she drives me insane. When she gets old I want to take care of her and keep her company so she doesn't get lonely or sick. i TRY to spend time with her every now and then, that way she knows that eventhough we dont get along, i still care about her. lol. As for now, I cant even be in the same room with her for more than 2 minutes without wanting to drive off a cliff :)

yes, you can love someones looks, charm, personality, but then you can hate all the bad things about them also, you can love the great things about them but hate the bad. or if someone that you love did something horrible to you but you still love them but you hate what they did to you,

Yes,
The opposite of love is not hate. It is animosity. If you don't love someone you don't care what happens to them and that is animosity. Hate is a special form of love.

Kinda. Because i have an ex who at the end of our relationship, we had been through sooooo much crap & she did me really dirty, that i actually started to hate her. I hated how she treated me. I hated that she wouldnt just act RIGHT so we could maintain our relationship...why? Because i loved her so much. lol. Its' really confusing, but it does happen.
