I had the same problem! My husband and I tried for a year to get pregnant- when I finally decided to go to the doctor. My doctor told me that I had ovarian cysts and he put me on medicine and birth control pills, they did not work. But for some reason... like 6 months later, I got pregnant ! My husband had been away working for 2 months and then when he came back - he got me pregnant immediately! Maybe from holding all that sperm in for a long time worked! I don't know! but, don't give up hope! It Is Possible! I am now 4 months pregnant and very happy! GOOD LUCK!!!

You need to visit an OBGYN that treats PCOD (and/or one who is a fertilitiy specialist), and in most communitites you can find one who is all of that in 1. If you have PCOD and don't have your hormones in balance, concieving will be difficult. Depending on your lab results, a RX like metformin may be prescribed for a while to regulate your PCOD. NOTE: It (regulating your hormones) will not happen overnight so this could be a several month process. NOTE: DON'T LET THEM PUT YOU/KEEP YOU ON DEXAMETHASONE IF YOU ARE PREGNANT its bad for the baby. If you are "in balance" hormonally and still can't concieve, you may have to take fertility enhancing RX. But, all of it is moot if the PCOD is not properly diagnosed and treated - so do that FIRST.
