I purchased a laptop and I want the router to connect it at home. But, how does all that work?

Linksys would be the cheaper, easier way to go....u can get them at walmart for 40 bux.....if ur using windows xp it'll setup everything for u.....unplug ur modem......hook up the router...plug the modem back in....wait for all the lights.....then plug the router in.......just that easy.......if u ever have a problem w/ it.....theres a reset button....just push it .......goodluck

D-Link is a good router. They make quality network stuff that is not too expensive. I run the router and all of my network cards are D-Link at home. I have 3 desktops and a laptop that all run off of a wireless LAN.

do u have a broadband connection? do u want a wireless or a wired router? i prefered linksys. message me if u need more help.

Personally I like Linksys routers...as far as "how to"...If all else fails, read directions first...

I recommend LinkSys. It also have good security settings and easy to install.

stay away from d-link its very troublesome...
netgear worked for me in singapore and i bought a new one in CA and its working fine again!!!

you can check in the circuitcity web and they have users testimonial there!!!
