It is hard to get a good job anywhere in Missouri. It is what is called a "right to work" state. Basically meaning that they don't have rules like most other states do. For example, they don't have to pay overtime, they don't have to give you any vacation or sick days, you want off, you don't get paid, also they can fire you for basically anything too. I love to visit Missouri, but to live...........no way!

I just moved to Overland Park Kansas in October of 06. Will you be living in KC MO in the city? If so, its pretty scary there.. I would stick with the suburbs. Get on the Kansas side, since its only a few miles to MO. The job market is about to be saturated. Sprint/Nextel and a few other corps have/had major layoffs in the past month. The market is saturated with all those people. I am trying to find a job and I know others who are having problems too. Let me know if you have any other questions I can answer regarding the move or places of interest. I can try to help.

You could search and apply for jobs based on your qualifications and experience on job websites like Hotjobs,Monster, Dice, Careerbuilder and Craigslist. You could also search for jobs on websites like Simply Hired and Indeed. You can find more information at http://tinyurl.com/emdyn
