There is a long term affect to the cats ears - your cat is violently shaking and scratching at its ears. Aura hematoma's are extremely painful and can actually destroy and deform the ear over time. Keep in mind that they feed on blood - so you run the risk of making your cat anemic as well. Keep in mind that YOU can get earmites too (unlikely but possible) - so please! PLEASE treat your cat! Revolution will keep earmites away for a month at a time.

Yes.
Untreated earmites can lead to ear deformities and loss of hearing and balance.
Revolution will NOT effectively treat an advanced case of earmites; miticide from your vet (not over-the-counter) is the only solution.
Whoever owns this poor kitty, I do hope that you will help it!

Would YOU like to have bugs crawling around in your ears for more than a minute? Treating earmites is SO easy, and all it takes is one visit to a vet. If you can't afford it, please give your cat to your local animal shelter so they can provide it with the health care it needs.

In response to another person's answer, you CAN'T get earmites from your cat. But still...would you even want to be around bugs in your cats ears and in your house?

yes. i also had a friend who left his cats ears untreated and the cat ended up with problems keeping its balance just walking across the room. it was really sad.

the cat can end up having surgery or losing the ear all together. they may even lose their hearing if there is a bad enough infection.
