I know if I was a male athlete I would be angry if I had to get naked and change in front of clothed women that I dont want to. I would also feel humilated and degraded. Also a next issue is that male reporters are not being granted the right to go in women athletes locker rooms. So if equality is such a big issue why arent male reporters allowed in female athletes locker rooms or why arent female reporters banned from male athletes locker rooms?

It's a big issue because men's sports are the money maker in this country & for sports reporters it's a measure of status to be able to report on the men's professional sports. Locker room interviews happen right after the game, there is usually more emotion going on, in regards to events from the game, that will show up in replies to reporters' questions - once the players have had a chance to shower, change, calm down, etc if there is a press conference they will be more controlled & circumspect in their answer. Additionally, most reporters are on deadline & need to file their stories. An athlete or team could delay the time until they come out of the locker room so the reporter would not be able to finish the story with any comments or reactions included. If the athletes are uncomfortable have a female reporter, then all reporters need to be excluded from the locker room to give everyone a level playing field.

As to men being allowed in the women's locker rooms - there are very few male sports reporters covering women's sports and even fewer women's sports that are covered as in-depth. No one goes in to either the men's or women's locker rooms in golf or tennis, so the only thing really left is women's hoops.

And, by the way, we really don't care about seeing you naked.

Either it goes both ways or we respect the privacy of the individuals of either sex. It's not a peep show. They get paid to perform in a sporting activity not show off their attributes. I think part of the issue is there are few feamle athletes that any male reporter needs to interview since for the most part no one cares about female athletics. Mostly I believe no one cares because women can not perform on the same level as men and so the only way they draw crowds is to run around half naked which means they are part of a peep show and not professional athletes.

first of all... no it is easy to be allowed into the locker rooms... yet ok, journalists are. Why lady journalists are allowed into the lads's locker rooms and not male journalists into the female's locker rooms is thoroughly unfair... each and every so often men do no longer care in the event that they are bare in front of girls, yet different situations like after a interest I guess they are drained and don't choose a reporter (men or women) in the room asking stupid questions mutually as they are getting bare and in a position to get out from there and circulate to kick back. I say, honest could be that male journalists might additionally enter lady's locker rooms. ANd that would additionally be invasion of privateness.... reason confident, it extremely is invasion of privateness.... and....... the perfect option, could be struggling with journalists from getting into the locker rooms.
