I live in a major city, so I do not have a car. I was wondering if what items I could sell on ebay, that were small and expensive so I could sell fewer items but still make decent money. Something like jewelry. How would I start this. I have about $10,000 to start out with. Thanks.

Be fair on starting prices and shipping costs.

Be careful - you don't have enough money to buy daimonds wholesale - the markup on jewelry is terrific.
I would suggest watching for job lot items, even things that cost pennies from overseas can be good and then you charge a reasonable handling fee.
Nothing in life is free without some effort or risk - try to become an expert on something such as stamps, coins, albums, etc and then watch for deals from unsophisticated sellers.

look on ebay and see what is hot, vintage baseball cards are very small and can be worth a small fortune, just look at the Jeter Mantle Bush 2007 topps error card that is selling for 20-200 dollars. also vintage cards are BIG! people will be willing to pay more for their favorite players so that is a plus, and they will pay more for autograph cards and game used. just a thought good luck. oo Mickey Mantle vintage cards worth ALOT just like the 1952 topps set/ cards! :)

jewlery is always good. you can go to garage sales and little pawn shops to pick some up for cheap. then all you have to do is clean them up nice and sell them.

start low and put reserve on it.. the reason why i say start low is because you will get more interest instead starting things really high..
