THE BABY COULD BE SITTING ON A LIGAMENT OR MUSCLE. TRY TO LAY DOWN OR MOVE IN DIFFERENT POSITION TO GET HIM/HER TO MOVE.

Is it really close to the crease where your leg and abdomin meet? If so, it is called round ligament pain, and it is a normal and necessary part of pregnancy. (And one that no one ever hears about until it happens for some reason).

A pregnancy hormone enters those muscles and softens them in order to make the birthing process much easier for you. You want that!!! But a symptom of that softening is weakened, or sore, muscles.

Best of luck!

You should go and see an obstetric physiotherapist. You could have a pelvis problem that could be sorted out with some stretches and exercises. Make sure you are doing your pelvic floor exercises and tummy exercises (I presume these are taugh t in the states postnatally if not antenatally).

the baby wont be "sitting" on a ligament or muscle, its probably due to lax muscles/ligaments in your pelvis from pregnancy hormones

baby CANT "sit" on your sciatic nerve either - very fed up with doctors telling women this - my biggest bugbear! Your back is strained during pregnancy and your nerves get irritated!

it sounds very similar to what happend to me when i had about four week left to give birth., it felt like i was proper openin up and that my baby was just going to fall out lol i was told that i was walking to much an that i should be resting i would see your midwife. i was always on the go very rarely sat down for long and i used to walk miles per day so i would get it checked

it sounds like it could be either the baby sittin on your siatic nerve (which mine does to me all the time - its very uncomfortable!) or youy may be developing spd
mention it to your healthcare giver at your next appointment and they should determine which one it is for you
good luck, and i feel your pain!
