I am not a single parent but when my son was born my husband and I were living with my sister anyways when we moved ten hours way she wanted visitation rights of my son then he was four years old. Now he is fifteen and still loves to go and see my sister for summer vacation. He goes the day after school gets out and doesn't come home until a week before school starts. I miss him so much but he has a blast and I love the vacation. Don't feel bad that they are gone; refuel and love them even more when they return. I just wish that sometimes she would take him during the school year and be the bad parent(home work and all) and I get the fun summer time. LOL

not sure the place i'm going as funds are slightly tight this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. possibly Spain as I certainly have acquaintances there. i will take my trip each time i admire, i'm no longer tied down with any childrens or a spouse. So i'm thoroughly open and that i many times go in the off season to relish steep decrease fee rates. i admire entering into September as this is a sluggish season for trip trips and travelers.

Yes, it is kind of nice.
It's hard to be a single parent. It's all you, all the time- definitely not easy.
My daughter will be gone most of this summer. Her dad lives too far away for her to see him much through the school year.
I will still have my hellion 4 yr old to content with though (I am now remarried) :-)

No I have shared custody throughout the year. I wish he was gone all year and they were with him in the summer though. Summer daycare is outrageously expensive!
