I am a 30 something year old caucasion female diagnosed with Alopecia. I wear a wig that is really cute for my face. I have been told by friends and family that I look so pretty... when I go places though I get looks from people.... People look down, or look away.... People sometimes stare at me.... A guy once said I look like a Barbie doll... Teenagers laugh at me.... I want people to see me as the woman that I am, and not judge me because I wear a wig...

I didn't know this is what ahppened in society, maybe it's because sometimes people wear wigs that look really fake and it is obvious. Or sometimes they choose wigs that totally don't match the person. If I had to wear a wig I would invest a lot of money for a real hair wig because after all it will be on my head and so everyone will see it.

What do youmean by "accept," like if you were wearing a wig people wouldn't socialize with you and think of you as a lesser person or inferior than the rest of society, I couldn't possibly see that happening?

Society doesn't know what is normal or not normal anymore, but a woman who is bald is not exactly the norm, so society isn't going to think of her as normal. Society can't tell if someone is wearing a really good wig. I don't know where the caucasian thing comes into play...?

there's a large false impression obtainable that Jewish married females at the instant are not meant to seem stable, and it is the reason they cover their hair. nicely, it is not authentic. in actuality, some females seem extra clever of their wigs than they did with their organic hair. Like many stuff in Judaism, it is in line with Judaism's religious expertise of existence. a million. Hair is sensual (i do no longer care how eye-catching a wig seems, it by no ability has the charm that organic hair does). Judaism celebrates the intimacy between guy and spouse and needs the couple to sell that specialness. So, if her hair is barely available for her husband to work out, it makes it particular to the two one among them (of direction, a similar is going for different sensuous components of her, or for that count number his, physique too). 2. Kabbalah has a deeper, extra diffused address this: Hair has an invaluable religious importance. Jewish adult men are taught to develop their beards, females cover their hair, the Nazirite of historic cases might develop his hair as a demonstration of dedication to G-d, the Levites had to shave all their hair in the previous provider interior the Temple, Samson's ability became linked along with his locks, the prophet Samuel by no ability decrease his hair and Joseph became criticized via his brothers for combing his hair too usually. All that alludes to the reality that hair has religious relevance. Hair is almost a spiritual conductor which could charm to the two constructive or adverse capability. a girl's hair is holy, it rather is a spiritual conductor. Marriage is an fairly holy adventure, so as quickly as a girl is married, her hair is reserved for bringing religious capability into that marriage- and she or he keeps it clean from choosing up adverse capability on the line.

Our so called modern society fears anything different, some are not willing to accept that the world turns because everyone is different!!!!!
Imagine a world where everybody dresses, eats, loves, hates, and does everything the same. That would truly be bad.

It's pathetic, but people don't accept anything that isn't ordinary. If it's different it's strange ,unusual and the first response, unfortunately, is to laugh or gossip about it. Nervous reaction I think, not knowing how else to deal with it or accept it.

Because society has its judgemental ethos and society has engrained in people(via TV) that bald women are hideous. Basically, society has engrained in people a certain standard and anything deviating from the "standard" is often viewed with suspicion and hatred.
