Of course you should see a doctor. You should have done this 8 months ago. Call and make an appointment immediately.

If you haven't had a menstrual cycle within 8 months, and you are losing your hair, posting a question on yahoo isn't the solution. Go and see your family physician or the local clinic / hospital immediately. There are a number of reasons why your problems are occurring from improper diet to hormonal malfunctions. Only a qualified practitioner after assessment will be able to provide the answers.

I am sorry, but I am not a doctor, and I can't imagine that if I were, I would be scrolling through questions on here all day just to find yours.

I wouldn't wait for a doctor! Get your butt to the doctor ASAP!

You are doing yourself more harm than good by waiting around....especially being a diabetic.

Please, go to a doctor, I am begging you. You are still so young and have a life time of fun and experiences ahead of you. Don't through it all away, by not knowing what is going on with your body and ignoring it....thinking it might just go away one day.

It might be nothing, but then again, it could be something very bad that is causing you these problems. Especially being a diabetic....waiting around could be very costly to your health.

Take care & God bless!

I will pray for you.

Yes you need to see a doctor. Anytime you period is missing for more than a 2 months and it was always regular then you need to see a doc. Also with the thinning hair this too needs to be checked by the doc. I am a nurse not a doc but feel comfortable telling you that yes you have to see the doctor. It could be thyroid problems or something else.

Have you ever been diagnosed with PCOS. PCOS is classified by:
1. Excessive hair
2. Male pattern baldness
3. skin tags
4. absence of period or irregular
5. High insulin levels

Metabolic disorder also classifies you from what you have stated. Most are diabetic or borderline. You need to see your doctor to be treated.

You can take an online quiz on many of websites for PCOS. You can go to www.webmd.com, www.soulcysters.com or just do a goggle search on PCOS.
I hope this helps some.

You should go today and see your doctor. Your body sends you signals on what is going on inside. If you ignore them, could cause some serious issues.

Don't waste time here on the Internet, call your doctor and go get an evaluation

I am not in th medical field. But from my experience with friends and neighbor and so forth they had problems because they were either starving themselves or they had a very unhealthy diet that cause both their hair to thin and to loose their period.

I highly suggest going to a doctor. Especially if you are not pregnant. You could have a vitamin/mineral deficiency or something worse.
