For some reason, my computer crashed a few weeks ago. I have an ATI graphics card that I installed again. After installing the drivers, my computer is saying that there are 5 "unknown devices" on my PC at location ATI graphics card. Every time I reboot my computer, it tries to install these devices (each of the five in turn) and each time the drivers are never found. Then, it flashes the message that there is a problem installing the hardware. I have tried reinstalling the drivers a few times, but nothing seems to fix the problem. Everything on the card seems to work correctly, but it is an annoyance to cancel all five of these installations every time I start my PC. Does anyone have an answer?

Sounds like a bad installation. 1st would be to download the latest ATI drivers for you graphics card. Then uninstall the ATI drivers. Reboot into safe mode and go into the Device Manager and 'unintstall' all unknown devices and any remaining ATI listing.

Reboot back into windows normally and run the new drive installation package that was downloaded.

If that does not work, there could be alot more 'wrong' on your system that you realize. It could be time to backup your data and to do a complete reinstallation of everything.

You are missing the drivers fro those devices. Check the website of the manufacturer of your PC and download all the drivers they have for the video cards and other devices. Install them and it should fix the problem.

You might try reinstalling your Motherboards Bios again...this is what helps it communicate with everything else...it may have somehow been corrupted when your computer Crashed.
