Here is a link to an old web page that shows some popular myths about the rules. For the experienced umpires out there, besides No. 10 (uncaught third strike rule which has been changed) are any of these incorrect?

I love this question,we need more of these type of questions.
1)Myth,the hands are not considered part of the bat.
2)Myth,as long as you don't attempt to go to 2nd base you can turn left.
3)Myth,the bat has to break the plane of the plate,has nothing to do with the batters wrists.
4)Myth,home plate is in fair territory.
5)Myth,the batter can interfere outside the batter box
6)Myth,live ball
7)Myth,you can switch sides on any count as long as the pitcher is not in position to pitch the ball.
8)Myth,The proper batter is the one called out
9)Myth,you can overrun first
10)Myth,your not out until you enter the dugout
11)Myth,this is a sticky one,old school umps will say it is a strike putting the bat over the plate is an attempt.
12)Myth,dead ball if batter is in the box (foul)interference may be called if batter does anything intentional to affect the play.
13)Myth,only if the batters foot is completly out of the batters box
14)Myth,only if he interfers with a throw of fielding of a throw
15)Myth,thats the assist rulr
16)Myth,HAHA you have to beat the throw or you are out.this one gets more talk than any of them
17)Myth,its either 1 base or 2,1 from the mound 2 from the field
18)Myth,the assist rule again
19)Myth,you must retrace your steps on a caught fly ball

all are correct. good place to train yourself if you know a bunch of older advanced people have them ask you situations like hard ones did this in cooperstown with my team and coaches very fun. also you could search them on the internet.

#23 is deceptive. While it may not be a force out by definition, the player who has not tagged up must beat the ball back to that base. He does not have to be tagged out.

Some are and some aren't. Which is why it's a good idea to have at least a passing familiarity with the rulebook of whatever sport(s) you appreciate.
