She is one of my favorite artist. I need to know more info about Gerogia O'keefe. I know she was born or raised up north. What is her race?

Gerogia O'keeffe November 15, 1887—March 6, 1986) was an American artist. O'Keeffe has been a major figure in American art since the 1920s. She is chiefly known for paintings in which she synthesizes abstraction and representation in paintings of flowers, rocks, shells, animal bones and landscapes. Her paintings present crisply contoured forms that are replete with subtle tonal transitions of varying colors, and she often transformed her subject matter into powerful abstract images.
She did do Native American work but she is proabably French

You can do a search with her name correctly spelled, Georgia O'Keeffe. She was Caucasian. There are extensive materials about ther life. She came to New York and lived there, but she lived the later part of her life in New Mexico (taos?) and was also married to a famous photographer who stayed back East.They had a nontraditional relationship. When she was in NM she befriended a much younger man (artist) whose name was Juan something (I am not sure about his name). He cared for her for many years at the end of her life. There are many questions about their friendship and his motivations that continue to this day. Why not try About.com and put her name in. Lots of information. I'm glad you like her work, so do I.
