Some moms have a little colostrum (the first milk that you produce - yellowish, thick and sticky and comes in small amounts - commonly called "liquid gold" and considered to be "baby's first vaccination") early in pregnancy, but most won't notice it until the third trimester. You don't actually produce milk until the baby is born.

My breasts started to leak colostrum (the first milk produced before your real milk comes in after the birth of the baby) when I was around 26 weeks, which from what I hear is a little soon for most women. So you won' t be lactating for a while yet if you are pregnant. It's not unusual that you itch though. Your breasts will most likely grow really big right from the start. Hope that helps!

Your body doesn't start producing milk until just before the birth or right after it.

You start producing milk AFTER the baby is born--3 days after. The first three days, you produce colostrum, which also does not start until AFTER the baby is born.

If it is your first child, it's not uncommon for your milk to come in a week after birth. With one of mine, I was producing at 6 mths...depends on your body.

you start producing actual milk after you have the baby, you can leak colostrum through out pregnancy, but typically not until the end if you leak at all.
i have leaked twice and i'm 32 weeks, the first time was about 29 weeks.

When the baby is born. you don't need to produce milk before that, and it changes upon birth of a baby.
