I'm 52 and heading into menopause. I haven't had the sweats yet and have ALWAYS had mood swings, so the only true way I know that I'm looking at pre-menopause is I haven't had a period since November! I have all the symptoms, cramping, bloating, emotional wreck, just no bleeding.

No not yet, that's just the beginning,it will take a little longer. You will be in menopause if your period is absent for a whole year. You are going through a Pre-menopause,you keep having the sweats and change in moods, that's normal. If you're worried,go to the doctor and he will keep you informed.Take Care!

Sounds like the onset of menopause, but to be sure, go see your MD. There are several things that can throw off your hormones and yes, menopause is one of them. Just to be safe, go get a regular check up to be sure and give you piece of mind. Also, you can find out if HRT is a treatment option for you. Its not for everyone

Could be, I"m 43 too - and I've started to notice my periods are getting weird . . I think we're in that age bracket for pre-menopausal symptoms, but get it checked.

Yep this is exacly how I started. Night sweats and mood swings was my first clue. If you want a definate diagnosis see your doc and ask him to test your hormone levels.
