I don't really care for anything but rock music. I like heavier kinds, yet the kind you can still understand. What would I like?

A lot of the Metallica's stuff is good and understandable. Linkin Park has some harder stuff althoughtheir a rock/rap group. If you go straight rock try AC/DC their great. Some of korn is all right and Disturbed has some good understandable stuff, as well as System of a Down.

i have similar taste - i love hard rock, but not too hard. they are all intense, loud, and energetic, but in different ways. you may not like all of these bands, but i guarantee you'll find a few in here that will resonate.

finally a question in my genre!!!! some great heavy bands are bullet for my valentine, trivium, lamb of god, pantera, all that remains, still remains, as i lay dying, underoath, godsmack, shadows fall, mastodon, dream evil, atreyu, as cities burn, between the buried and me, god forbid, bleeding through. look on purevolume.com and search for your favorite genre. you can listen to ENTIRE songs of almost any artist on this website. i love it.
