I have been used for years to SU carbs but now have a straight six engined car with three DCOE45 double choke Webers. I know absolutely nothing about these at all. All help gratefully accepted!

you need a vac sync unit which works on the depression or suction of the carbs to be able to syncsnoise all three together. bits of tube rule of the thumb and oather quoted phrases. do not apply. when it can be seen on a gauge that all three are in unison at various revs throught range. this equals maximum performance. if you want torvill & dean performance. it must be spot on not near enough.

I recall seeing guys tune those by using a set of plastic thingies that clamped over the top of each carb. There was a little ball in a tube in each, and you'd adjust to have the ball at the highest but with them all at the same level....or something like that. Good luck.

You need a carb balancer!
You can find them in most parts shops for about £10!
