I'm a man and I want to know this:
If you're a young single woman and your boyfriend whom you really care about suddenly meets with an accident (not major) and needs to be hospitalised. Will you loose sleep over the fact that female nurses will be stripping him, making him urinate, change his clothes/ undies and sponge him, etc.
do you think it is not done to have female nurses carry on these routines on young bed ridden male patients in the hospital. And that only male nurses should be allowed to do that.

do you think unnecessary invasion of privacy in hospitals should be stopped?
and that family members should be allowed to do things like changing clothes, urinating, etc.?

Could there be a profile difference between those who would be jealous and those who would not be,......?
in that the monogamous, loyal kind of girl will be more jealous.
while the girl that has seen it all and has been with several guys will be less likely to be jealous.
And that married and settled women are likely to be less jealous than newly met couples?

a woman shouldn't get jealous when a guy is in the hospital. it is part of the healing process for a nurse to engage in intercourse or oral sex with a guy. this is perfectly normal

I'm both a woman and a nurse. The wives and girlfriends of my male patients are too concerned about the immediate medical condition of the patient to be worried about this trivial point.
Nurses don't generally do the things you mentioned. With one or two notable exceptions, these duties are normally handled by nurse aides who can be either male or female. A girlfriend cannot request a male nurse for her boyfriend. A girlfriend is not usually the responsible party. The responsible party, either a family member or legal guardian, can request that nurses and aides be of one gender or the other to render care but if staffing doesn't permit this, the patient will be cared for by whoever is on shift. We try to accomodate these requests but we are not always able to do so.
I sincerely doubt that very many young woman are going to have such distorted and warped thoughts at a time like this and if it did bother them, then that's just too bad. Grow up. It's just a human body to us. No more, no less. And is there any particular reason you're focusing on only young patients who are also male?

it's not like they're enjoying it, or like it's sexual in any way, it's just their job... why be jealous of that? That would be sexist and foolish.
edit - it doesn't matter how attractive he is, there is no unnecessary invasion of privacy, and family members CAN change clothes for the patient, help them urinate etc.
Why would you think otherwise?
And no, there is no profile difference, only a very insecure immature girl would care, and someone that young would not be allowed in the situation anyway. honestly, why are you so obsessed with this? Does it bother you that women can accept another woman as a caregiver in a non-sexual role?

I am a nurse and no one should be jealous if a boyfriend is seen naked by a nurse. A nurse does not touch a male patient though unless he is in the hospital or nursing home etc. In the docs office the nurse just checks your vitals and gives shots etc and would only touch a patient per say if she was assisting the doc with something. This is what we went to school for to help patients whether they are male or female.

I would relax if I were you. Nurses (male and female) are trained professionals that have nothing but a medical interest in your boyfriend. It's their job. Nurses see hundreds of people naked and help them with tasks they can't perform on their own while hospitalized. Trust me, your boyfriend is just another patient to them, not an object of desire. Feel better?

Of course not! That's silly, insecure, paranoid and over-reactive!
Frankly if I were a guy, I think I'd rather have a female attendant than a male. But that's just me.
I personally prefer to have my annual checkups done by a female doctor than a male, but that's because I believe that women are more empathetic and understanding of female issues.

No I would not be jealous of a female nurse. That is ridiculous. And my husband does not get jealous when I see my male gyno. Anyone who would get jealous is an insecure idiot.
