I surely know about leap year, but does it means that 1 day is not exactly 24 Hours, where does the spare 6 hours came from?

Because we take the 6 hours, collect them, and every four years we make an extra day and call it February 29.

Note that, because it is not exactly 6 hours left over, every 100th year is NOT a leap year, unless it is the 400th year, in which case it IS a leap year. E.G. 1900 was not a leap year, but 2000 was.

U are exactly correct if u are calculating the azimuth of a planet or looking for something in space. 365 days and 6 hours is only used for that for every thing here on earth we use the regular days and insert a leap year every 4 years. Hope this helps u understand.

The spare 6 hours a year are saved up to make one full day every four years, a leap year

The year you refer to is called a solar year. Humans had to create a calendar that worked with the solar year, so every 4 years we add a day. This is not an exact adjustment. We may have to add a day every 1000 years to keep the seasons from slipping into other months.

Because we make up the extra quarter days with a leap year.
