We are an older couple -- friends of the family -- and have been invited to their daughter's 16th. We have no idea what to get her (we have no kids of our own). What do 16-year old girls like now-a-days?

Easiest plan of action: iTunes gift card. Or a WalMart giftcard. They can both be used to buy music online. Or even easier, give her ten or twenty dollars. Teens can never have enough cash.

An ipod or mp3 player, purses, fake jewelry etc.. Just imagine your 16 and ty to think of the things you would like someone to give you....

get her some kind of jewelery like a braclet or a knecklace. a girls sweet 16 is importand and my dad got me a key chain...it broke my heart lol so make it special.

uhmmm when in doubt, give money....about 20 or 30 would be fair....if not maybe a make up kit, just nothing thats childish, something a young lady could use...

find her favorite store then get her a gift card for that store then you won't have to worry about her liking it or not.
