I think the show ran around 76 or so and had multiple teams running obstacles and slides, etc. It was short lived, but I can't for the life of me remember the name of the show.

I think you may be thinking of Shenanigans with Stubby Kay. It was a kid's Game Show that was like you describe.

Beat the Clock was also a similar show, with Jack Narz, brother of longtime TV Game Show host Tom Kennedy.

It was called Junior Almost Anything Goes and was on Saturday mornings in 1976.
