i have been searching the net for this, but i cannot find it. what i am looking for is the countdown at the begining of old movies. it kinda looks like a radar and it counts down either from ten or five. if anyone knows the name could you tell me. thanks

Don't know what it's called but that's how they synchronize the picture with the sound track. That's also what those clappers are for that they clap together at the start of a scene.

If it'll work for you, I think it's on some of the special features of To Kill A Mockingbird. Weird, I know, but I am pretty sure it's on the original trailer.

Most Editing Software comes with it as part of the package. If you don't have it, see if your local News station would be willing to part with a copy on VHS for you.
