A beagle is dog, with floppy ears and a long straight tail. There a a few different kids of beagles ( for istance some breeds of beagle are taller than others) Beagles are you used as hunting dogs to hunt small animals such as rabbits, foxes, racoons and squirrels.

They are rabbit hunting dogs. Ours is the small size beagle and she is such a sweet heart. Loves to be petted and snuggled. But she is so timmid when there is a stranger around. Or if we make a loud noise. She has been a problem to keep in the yard too. We finally have a fence that will hold her. They love to run rabbits so need lots of exercise.

A not too bright breed of dog. They will eat anything and everything and even eat on their death bed. But the only saving grace about Beagle's is they are great with kids.
