I'm convinced these Hollywood idiots contributed to President Bush's victory as much as any group in America. It was the lack of intelligence on their part, and of course, Kerry's not too bright either!

homegrown: Tell you what, how about I follow you around 24/7 for a month or so and make notes of everything you say, particularly when you have a slip of the tongue and say something kind of odd. Then I compile the list and use it as "proof" that you're stupid. Better yet, I'll sell the rights to a publisher and get rich. Sound like a good deal?
donie_b49: Got a link to support those numbers? Because the military records of President Bush that were released show that he has an IQ of over 120. Besides, it's damn impossible to use iQ scores to see who's smarter. Especially when you're talking about differences of around 10 points.

Your logic is flawed for many reasons. First, you confuse education with intelligence. In order to become an actor or actress takes a lot of hard work and dedication for most people. It doesn't take a college degree. Does that mean that they are less intelligent? Your premise is an insult to the many hard working, intelligent Americans who chose a course that did not include college.
Second, "Hollywood Types" do not rule the free world. They do not have the power to send young men and women into combat in foreign lands, they do not have the power to make arrests without a warrant, to authorize wiretaps of telephones, to make executive policy in my name. Whatever they do, they do as individual citizens. What Mr. Bush does he does in the names of all of the citizens of the United States of America. It is an embarrassment to me when Mr. Bush is broadcast across the world saying "nucular." If I expect my President to be able to correctly pronounce the term which describes the most potent destructive force that man has ever developed I am asking too much. Regardless of how intelligent Mr. Bush is or is not, he doesn't come across to me or to the world as a diplomat. When he stands next to Mr. Blair and they both speak the world laughs when Mr. Bush opens his mouth. That is an embarrassment to me as an American. So, yes we do question his intelligence. I don't care if Hollywood hires people right off the short bus, I want my President to represent my country in a dignified manner around the world.

Your point overlooks the crucial point that Holllywood liberals do not represent the majority of Democrats. In fact Hollywood represents such a small minority of Democrats, it's silly to even consider their intelligence level as a sampling of that of Democrats. I think you will find that just as with any large group, Democrats are comprised of a group of individual with varied intellectual capacities and educational backgrounds. That said, I still think George Bush is an idiot.

I don't CARE who in Hollywood is educated as long as they aren't running for national office........You have missed the point.
And, just because one's Daddy pays ones way through prestigious colleges doesn't mean one is smart.
Bush is a mental midget, has always been so. His Daddy did it all for him.

intelligence and educated are two different things. you are right, GWB is severely educated. I also know that Einstein flunked math and Stephen King flunked english. Education is not always a good measure of intelligence.

Graduating from college doesn't automatically make someone smart, any more than not going to college automatically makes someone stupid. Moreover, we all know why Dubya got into Yale, and how he fared there academically. (Hint: wealthy and influential parents, and grades that are frankly nothing to rave about.)
