Vomiting blood is never normal. It can happen when people are stressed and are developing an ulcer. Try to control your vomiting if you can. Eat bland foods, crackers, low acid foods and beverages. The bleeding is not dangerous if it is only a small amount. Watch your vomitus for brown flecks or chocolatey looking bits also. That is known as "coffee-ground emesis" and is also blood. You do need to see a doctor to monitor your hydration status and prescribe a medication to heal your ulcer if it is serious. If you are not losing a lot of blood and if you do not feel dizzy you are probably safe to see your doc tomorrow. Sometimes women are hospitalized for IV fluids and medication when they vomit excessively. The condition is called hyperemesis gravidarum. If you feel if you are faint, dizzy or the blood is more than a teaspoon or so you could go to your emergency department for an assessment. Try to stay calm. Anxiety will only make your condition worse.

um no. vomiting blood is not good wether u are preg or not. Im glad u called the Doc. Its probley nothing too important where u have to go see the Doc NOW or even go to the ER, but it is something to take importance in. U could have an ulcer or just irritated something to the point where it bleeds. Doc will know what to do. Im sure ur not the only person who has had this issue. I hope everything is ok. Good luck and God Bless

Vomiting blood is never normal!
Was the vomit tinged with blood? Or was it mostly blood? If it was just tinged with blood, the vomiting may have scratched your throat to the point when you're going to see a little blood. If there is more than a tinge, it is more important that you be seen... and soon.
When you called your doctor, did you tell whomever you spoke to that you had vomited blood or just that you wanted to be seen? They might change what they say if you tell them that you had vomited blood.
If it was more than a tinge and your doctor still will not see you until tomorrow... me? I'd call my regular doctor or go in to the ER immediately. If it was more than a tinge, I would want to be seen as soon as possible, even if it's not by my OB.
Good luck.

Vomiting blood is never good. I do know that Ginger usually helps with morning sickness. Drinking ginger tea might help you get things under control until you can get to the Dr.

Vomiting blood is never normal. If you are vomiting a lot, the acid could be irritating the lining of your esophagus. If you are experiencing a lot then I would suggestion going the the emergency room if your doctor won't see you until tomorrow.

That's def. not normal, but you've taken the right precautions in contacting your doctor immediately. If it worsens, rush yourself to the emergency room. i don't know your medical history, but I'm hoping it's nothing serious. Due to hormone changes throughout our bodies during pregnancy, many strange things occur. I'm hoping that the blood might be leftover blood from a possible nose bleed. Once, I had a bloody nose while sleeping that never fully emerged through my nostrils, resulting in me coughing up some blood. This might be the case, but I'm not 100% sure. Please remain calm. If you begin to have horrible cramps or anything else, go to the emergency room pronto!

I am 2 months pregn. also and have been vomiting, but nothing like this. is the blood from a dry throat or nasal passage possibly, I thinknose bleeds are common in pregnancy? or is it from your stomach, if so i would go to the emergency room. Goodluck!
