How is it not a religious war? And in that case, what business does the United States of America have declaring a religious war on someone else?

look, you and I both know that the war in Iraq, the war in Afganistan and the so called "war on terror" is all b*llshit, and this whole sordid mess can be traced right back to religion and culture.

You know, I'd have way more respect for the warmongers if they would just come out and say it, instead of lying about the reasons why they support the new crusade.

Who told you this was a religious war?

Oh, yeah, the MUSLIMS told you that.

The US doesn't go to war for religion. If that were the case, then the Sunni Muslim intel officer in my unit should fight for the insurgency, right?

From our stand point, this is not a religious war. From the stand point of the Muslims, this is a religious war. Of course, these are the same people who killed priests because someone made a cartoon about Mohammad.

What??? How IS it a religious war? The war is against global terror, not against Islam. Christianity features neither a foreign policy nor a military. Only sovereign powers such as the United States do so. Do you think there are no Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, agnostic, or atheist troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan? What religious goals are the Coalition forces attempting to meet?

They were the ones who declared a religious war on us. We are simply fighting back. In fact they declared a war on western religions and jews first. If you feel so much for them then go live there and fight the 'great satan' with them.

America, who took prayer out of the schools declares religious war? How crazy. First of all, the majority of americans who claim to be christian are hypocritical( especially the politicians) or they don't even read the Bible. True christians read their Bible everyday and pray everyday. I have my doubts about the politicians being true christian.

Crack open a history book. What was once known as "Christiandom" has been defending itself against Islam since shortly after Islam began. You ought to thank your lucky stars that men with deep faith defended themselves and their lands againt the muslim invaders, in Spain (Battle of Tours), Eastern Europe (vs. Turks), and other places, or your sorry azz would be bowing to Mecca

Of course it is a religious war. Look at everyone who supports the war on both sides. Its not a bunch of atheists fighting.

This is a war about oil and oil company profits, not religion. Just like the last time we fought this war.
