isn't originally an American show, why isn't it just called "Idol"???

Because America always have to make things known that it's..... AMERICAN!

I think they added the American to clairfy it wasn't Chineese Idol or Turkish Idol.

But I wonder, do all the participants have to be American? What if a Canadian was on the show? But since Canada is part of America.....

Must leave question before rambling continues.

Maybe because it's in America now, so the Idol chosen would be an American... Idol.

Because in canada it's called Canada Idol...on England it's called pop idol
