Got my F150 stuck this winter and found out the hard way there were no tow hooks on it and no substantial area to hook tow ropes. Had to shovel it out.

Behind the front splash pan, under the front bumper, there are two frame rails. This is the only spot that can with stand the strain of pulling the entire vehicle. If you take a look at an F250 you will see that these hooks are provided. Use this example as how to mount yours. Just mount them in a way that they can be connected to without interfering with the front splash pan or bumper
