I was told if I put smaller water lines in that it would increase my water pressure. It is just the kitchen that I am having problems with. I have fine water pressure in my bathroom and laundry room. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

the very first thing you should do is to remove the strainer from the faucet. it is probably clogged with debris. these usually come off by hand but you might have to use a wrench. once it is off turn on the water and flush the lines. you should be able to tell right away if that was the problem.

clean out any debris in the screen[s] in the strainer. careful to remember how it comes apart so you get it back together.

some types of strainer can just be replaced. go to a good hardware store or plumbing supply store with the old one. they could match one up for a few $$$.

if this doesn't fix it you may have an obstruction at one of the valves along the line. open and close any valves along the line several time and see if it doesn't clear it up. there may be valves under sink.

if you know how you can shut the water down open the faucet, drain the line and take the valves apart, but don't go that far if you are not handy. find someone to help you. you may find a valve has a loose washer or something else blocking the flow.

good luck and be safe

A stopped up areator is common. Remove it to see if that helps.

Smaller lines do not increase pressure and lessens volume. You was told wrong about that.

1/2" is the mininum size for the stubout in New Mexico and 3/8" for the supplys.

i would check the size of your water lines coming to your kitchen, if same size, then your faucet where the the water comes out (just a ref.) at the end of it , there should be a piece
that un screws , with a little screen in it , see if its a gummed up, but if the pipes are smaller , might ask a plumber to look
at it and give you some advice.

You could also buy a pressure tank. This handy dandy little guy will store water so there's always plenty for your kitchen when you want it, at the pressure you want.
