You have a misunderstanding then if you say that is about as social as you get. The North American continent is the most socialistic functional Continent in the world. Our brand of socialism works. To live in denial just because some other countries have usurped the word where dictatorship reigned doesn't mean we are not the most comunualistic and socialistic entities around. And to say that capitalistic activities are not a part of the socialistic activities is incorrect too.

You should look up the Planks of Communism! Socialism by definition is: the collective ownership of various economic and political theories. The government is the administrator of the means of productivity. Everything is OWNED and controlled by the state. You do not have the right to own property either. This is why Americans that do know Fight Imminent Domain! It is one of the guarantees found in the United States Constitution that allows for private ownership of property. Socialism is Marxism! It is not the same as Capitalism, that pays according to the work performed by individuals Not a Collective as you have! Marxism does not allow for Religious Freedom. You also limit Free Speech, are anti religion and limit the right to bare arms of private citizens, according to the UN....that is a socialist government no? Government decides everything for you right? You have few if any liberties and cannot express your own views or thoughts, without penalty or imprisonment.
