The first thing that comes to my mind would be trust. To me intimacy means trusting someone so much you can bare your most inner self without fear of rejection, judgement, ridicule, etc... Anyone can have sex, anymore it seems to be more of a recreation than the love gift it was meant to be... but intimacy- now that is hard to come by. True Intimacy is giving someone you completely trust a sacred piece of your soul
