Here's what my husband and I have done when we're short on cash and actually find ourselves with uninterrupted time:

Go to the cheapest motel in your area (not a sleazy, rent-by-fifteen-minute-increments motel, a Motel 6 or Comfort Inn will do), buy a large pizza, a couple of six packs (if that's what you like), some candles, a large blanket & pillows for eating on the floor picnic-style (take from the hotel beds), and some source of music.

All you'll need is full tub, lots of bubbles, and well . . .I'm sure you can handle it from there.

If you can afford it - go somewhere not too far away (in case of emergency with small children) perhaps a Bed and Breakfast? If that's too pricey, I would suggest going to a low cost cozy restaurant for breakfast, take a long walk on the beach, pier, anywhere you can if it's a nice clear night. If the weather is warm enough, bring a blanket to a park, pack a picnic and eat and romance in the moonlight - doesn't cost a thing but the food you take from home and the gas to get to the closest remote area.

There are some nice Italian and Chinese restaurants which have inexpensive dishes. Then go to a romantic movie. Find a motel that is nice but not expensive. At the motel make love to each other. You don't need an expensive hotel to make love.
