well it depends. If you just say, "I don't like it." then perhaps that's not good enough reason. If you say, "it hurts my feelings and makes me feel insecure." then I believe that is a good reason. AND if they continue to do it anyway, it's not necessarily about respect, it means that they would prefer to hurt your feelings, so whatever they are getting out of the texting must mean a lot. But if it's just a nuisance, perhaps the husband or wife feels and resents being controlled?

If you trust him then it should be alright for him to do anything within reason. The issue might be that your intuition tells you there might be a cause for this request. If he continues to text and call that person, you should go see a marriage counselor because it might be the beginning of a serious problem within you two.

Depends on who the person is. If it's his mother or something then no it isn't disrespectful at all and it'd rude to even say that. If it's an X...well...that's a different story. Your husband should respect your wishes in this manner.

Yes, because if you're married and calling other men or whatever, and they ask you to stop and you don't, that's being disrespectful to the spouse and the marriage. Be careful with that.

if the texting and calling interfered with your marriage, it would be very disrespectful to continue.

depends who it was n what for. If its just a friend then they have every right.
if its a past flame- talk it out
if its a past affair thing- its a nono
otherwise, they have every right to contact who they want.
