yes definitly. its a popular assignment increative writing classes, to write a scene of a story or a short story. i enjoy that. use a lot of imagry, imagine what the people would be feeling, saying and thinking. put yourself in the picture, how would you react? even a rubber ball....maybe its the only thing you have left of your childhood after your house burnt down leaving you orphaned and without memories of your family and all you had was that stupid little red ball...and you could write a whole story about that.

It was a beautiful fountain . several layers of cascading water comes out of a central peak and colourful lights are making the fountain more beautiful . Seven people are sitting around the fountain in camp chairs . They were enjoying the beauty of the fountain and expressing their views on the effect of the light on the trickling water . one of them was holding a ball in his hand . He handed over the ball to the person next to him . Then it was handed over to the next one . Thus the ball had reached everyone . Finally the ball was thrown away and the icecream contained in the ball was melting in all the peoples mouth .

Yes I can do it. This the technic of writing from the outside to the inside. Its posible to use pictures, headlines of newspaper, the news on tv. The objet is plenty of meaning for me or I can find, figure or imagine the meaning. For example I have the photo of a pencil, and the task is do a poem or a shorth story. I can make a poem about the writing as an expresion of myself or a story of a student who use that pencil in a creative or disciplined way. This works better the more you have cultural references and it is an interesnting, chalenging way of writing.

There is a lot that a picture conveys. The picture stimulates many chains of thoughts at the same time. This is the initial requirement for a writer - a bouquet of thought chains which he can weave into a story. So yes, I think I could do it.
