I've never heard of Gold Canyon candles, but I have heard of Partylite. I am a PartyLite rep. and I know that it didn't cost me anything to start. I mean, they do take $10.00 out of every paycheck I get until my kit is paid for, but the kit is usually paid for with my premier show. I don't know how that company works.
Apparently, the person who answered one below me hasn't ever seen the prices of Partylite candles. I just went to the website and checked the prices on a pack of votives. In GC votives, you only get four votives and you pay over $6. With partylite votives, you get 6 votives for $6. Now, you tell me which is cheaper. That woman who answered below me obviously doesn't know what she's talking about.

Hi,
Gold Canyon is a bit of an investment- $175 for the kit , but you get well over that in candles, samples, and business tools - once you start selling you can also earn triple that in free products to add to your inventory.
There is a fee for the website- the website however is not a necessity- if you know people in other states that would like to order from you, it is worth it though.
You cannot compare the prices of the candles as the first person did- I have had a little experience with Partylite candles as well as some others. The first thing you should know is that Gold Canyon candles have the longest burn time on the market- so where their candles may seem a little more spendy- you are definitely getting more for your money.
Gold Canyon candles are very clean burning, most people that dont generally burn candles because of allergies and sensitivities have no problems with Gold Canyon candles. I had a set of PartyLite candles and was not impressed with them- the scents were nice but it did not last and you had to be close to the candle to smell it. I looked at another company and though their candles were nice, GC candles still burned a lot longer and GC candles are a lot more natural in color and they have a variety of jars and holders that fit in with any decor.
I am not anywhere near a salesperson but snce I have started these candles have sold themselves- there is such a huge variety of scents and I have not had one complaint about the way they burn,- clean, even with no smoke or soot and the scent is just as nice at the very end as it is when you first light them.

Hi Melinda,
I became a gold canyon rep in Sept 06. I didnt think I could sell a thing. Boy, I proved myself wrong. These candles really have awesome benefits. The kit was $175 plus tax and I was shocked when I received it. It was full of everything you could imagine. I have 2 kids 5 & 2 and I always worry about Holiday cash & this wa my first christmas I didnt have to Charge. I am so glad I made my decision to Join GCC. I had no problems meeting the quaterly quotas. Please email me if you would like more info or I can email you more. Good luck to you on the choice you make. Take care -Jenn(www.mygccandle.com/jennswicks)

I just signed up in October. It is great. the start up kit is $ 175. The yearly fee for the website is $ 99 - pretty cheap as it includes a shopping cart.
I have had a great experience and just won a free all expense paid trip to Phoniex. You will love every minute. The candles are consumable so you will always have repeat customers.
The candles are amzaing as well.
Do you already have a contact within the company?
You can e-mail me any questions directly.

I've been with the company as a demonstrator for 2 years now, and I love it! The candles are WONDERFUL and they aren't as expensive as some of the others that are ridiculously expensive and aren't even as good as ours ^ (see name mentioned above) If you are looking for something fun and pays well, then you found it! You make a base of 25% and it goes up from there...you'll have to talk to your local rep to get all the info. I strongly recommend going ahead and doing it!
