Yes, because socialism doesn't work and the citizens will flee to the US and we'll have to take care of them with more tax $$'s.

Socialist states in general threaten the freedom of Americans at all times. Our country is the greatest because we are free, our economy is the strongest in the world and has been for generations and that is based on capitalism, which of course is the antithesis of socialism, go figure.

They aren't a military threat. The poverty caused by socialist policies (among other things, including US sanctions in the case of Cuba) causes a lot of unwanted immigration into the USA.
In the case of Venezuela, the word stable democracy can only be loosely applied given Chavez' moves towards autocracy.

Socialists didn't threaten us directly but in some markets like Venezuelan oil does. The only issue we would have if they all decided to go from socialists to Militarists and militarized then they would be a threat economical and Militarily wise

Socialists only "threaten" US corporations! Those big ol' money makers are afraid that if the people of the US see any "socialist" programs working anywhere, we might get some ideas of how they might work here---And, Good-gosh-a-mighty, we might want to try to implement one or two here. Oh! Woe is the CEO!!!

If Latin American countries are armed and supported by othet groups (like Al-Qaeda) it could trigger something bigl. But I think they are good neighbors, and as long as the US keeps good relationship with the leaders it won't be a problem

No. The only thing threatening the stability of the United States is the United States itself with its failed foreign policy, lack of health care and poor education system.

Possibly.
Nationalizing industries (taking property), cracking down on civil liberties to strengthen their positions, trying to export revolution and forging strategic alliances with the Chinese in this hemisphere are not good for the US.
