your ear lobe is cartilage, so where ever you pierce it it will feel the same,
Pain for a moment and then once the rawness has healed it's fine

It only hurts for a second and then the pain goes away. But it will take some time to get used to when you sleep on that ear.

It'll hurt like a regular piercing.
I wanted to answer this for another reason, you should go to a professional ear piercer. Do not get them done with a gun at a mall it can damage your ear and give you cauliflower ear.
Trust someone who does it professionally for a living, not someone who cuts hair or sells kids jewelry. A quality piercer ensures quality results.

I have heard it hurts a bit more than how the bottom part of your ear hurts when it's pierced. I want to get mine done too..

I found it hurt no more then on the lower part of my ear. Everyone has different pain thresholds though so because it didn't hurt for me it doesn't mean it wont hurt for you. But even if it did hurt it wouldn't hurt forever.

It will only hurt for a few seconds and then it will feel kind of hot and when you sleep don't lay on the side that you got pierced it kind of hurts. I know this only b/c I have my tongue, belly, nose, and ears done.

It hurts when the earing first goes in, and after about five seconds it just itches, and feels warm.

Mined kinda of hurted, I got mines done with a thicker stud verses a little one. You'll be fine though, the pain and warming sensation goes away fast just make sure you don't bump it.

It will hurt more than on your lower ear. There is less cartilage there. Mine didn't hurt that badly at all.
