I'm being offered Curt Schilling and Rafael Soriano for Joe Nathan.
I already have Johan Santana, Felix Hernandez, Mark Buehrle, and Jered Weaver for starters - and Fransisco Rodriguez, Billy wagner, and Tom Gordon for relievers.

I have a great pitching staff, and the other guy has nothing as far as relievers. Should I give him one of mine since I have 4 great save guys?? Schilling ain't bad, but again, I already have a great staff. What would you do?

and it's a head to head league if that makes any difference.

I would probably trade one of your relievers but not for a pitcher. Look at your line-up and see what your weak in and trade one of your closers for a fielder that you need.

First of all you should never make this trade. Getting 2 players for 1 is usually a bad deal because your giving away a top fantasy player (Nathan) for a risky SP (Schilling) and a type of player you can pick up on the waiver wire (Soriano). Soriano has the possibility of being a solid closer but has to wait for Wickman and possibly Gonzalez to falter.

Secondly you can never have too many closers. They can pitch at anytime and can also pick up wins and strikeouts. I don't know if this is a Roto or Head - to - head league, but with those top notched starting pitchers you will not need a lot more innings from your pitchers if it is Roto. If it is H2H you might want to add a Starter or 2 because your opponents can beat you in Wins and Ks if they have a lot more starts in a given week.

If your going to trade a pitcher be sure its for a solid bat.

Keep Nathan! i would see if you can get him to trade Schilling for Gordon straight up. Do not part with nathan though. Your starting pitching is a little weak after Santana. Mark Buehrle may be a descent pitcher in "real life" but his stats in fantasy are not that good. High Whip, low strikeouts. Jered Weaver might be have some arm trouble. if he really wants nathan, I would actually try to trade him for a better starting pitcher than Schilling.

I wouldn't do it. I am not sold that Schilling is going to have a great season. Soriano will be a set-up guy in Atlanta, so he will probably on pitch a two or three innings a week and won't really pick any stats (wins/saves).

Nathan is a guy that will pick up 40 saves and should have an ERA under 2. He is probably also your best closer. Stick with what you have.

Buerhle is damn near useless with his K/9 ratio... You need at least 4 SPs who get Ks to be one of the better teams in that stat category. Get Schilling for sure but don't give up Nathan. Offer Wager for Schilling and something better than Soriano. Perhaps an upgrade at another position...

I wouldn't do this trade. Soriano is a great set up man, but he may not get many saves. Schilling is old and fat, he may be good, but I bet he'll be just OK. Nathan is a top closer who is gonna get you saves, have a good ERA and contribute some Ks.

I wouldn't you have a enough good starters already, and the deal really would be Nathan for Schilling since you would have to drop someone for the trade to complete. I would hold your advantage for saves.

I wouldnt. Your loseing a closer for a potential closer and a SP. Your sp are good so why add another one. Keep Nathan. He is the top closer and overvalues Schilling and Soriano

Don't do it. Don't try and help out other teams. Take advantage of them. What do you need for positional players? Take one of those. Being one of the superior teams in a category you should take advantage of teams like this. This way you can win the Championship no problem.

Keep the pitchers that you have; Schilling is still effective, but at his age, for how long???
