I have one PC at home, I'm connected to a DSL Modem for my Internet connectivity. Does having only 1 PC warrant buying a router for it? I already run Zone Alarm and an AV program to protect against viruses, should I also include a Router?

Actually I would still get it. The router's firewall is far superior than any software in my opinion.

And trust me, a lot of new gadgets and devies use wireless internet now so it will definately come in use. I do wonder's with my PSP at home.

The purpose of a router is to "route" a single internet connection between multiple PCs. With only one PC it would serve no purpose. You are correct that most routers add additional firewall security. But if you are running ZoneAlarm you should not need it.

Not for just one PC.
