I shudder when I read quite a few of the questions on here, but then again I'm highly judgemental.

I like so much music, a lot of it is covered anyway...what other people like doesn't affect me. I like what I like, whatever anyone else thinks. If that happens to be something no one else has heard of, so be it (I was a fan of French musicals for years).

Similarly, I don't care if I like something a lot of other people like- I like indie bands like Franz Ferdinand, old music like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Aerosmith, U2...at the same time as liking more mainstream stuff like Panic! At the Disco, Coldplay and Red Hot Chili Peppers...actually, I'm not really sure what counts as mainstream. I don't change my likes based on what other people are interested in, that's the only important thing- it's entirely based on what I enjoy and gain something from. And if other people really enjoy Fall Out Boy, who am I to critcize? I think spending too much time critiquing other peoples' music choice just makes you end up with a very closed mind...I'm open to any music -why make someone feel bad for their musical choice if it means a lot to them and they enjoy it?

Admittedly, I hate rap and the fact that that is all a lot of stations will play...but I just do my best to ignore it and change the station.

I hate that everyone wants to talk about Fall Out Boy or Gym Class Heroes. Get a life people. Rock music now sucks, and should'nt even be considered rock!

Yes. I try to raise the bar with off-beat and well-informed suggestions. My biggest complaint is the questions that are so easy to find by using Google. Why ask someone else to do your internet search for you?

Definately not just you. I'm so tired of people asking, "What's the song on this commercial," or "what's the song on this TV show." That's not music, people! That's TV.

Still, If it REALLY ticked me off, I wouldn't be here anymore :)

Agreed-if I see another question about what's your favorite AFI, Fall Out Boy, Snow Patrol,Fray, or any other skinny jean wearing one hit wonder novelty act band on here, I may vomit.

People just have no taste anymore!!

People will only follow with what they're hearing at the moment. The best thing to do is ignore it and follow what you are listening to, and only ask questions accordingly.

I despair of questions like "wots the tune, the words sort of go..." or "Who likes ColdKaiserAmiViewMonkeyPatrol" . There have been some good Q's today surprisingly like "name your best all time band line up".
