The problem that you're going to have is with the word 'rightfully'. Numbers and even all of math are not a completely logical system, and worse yet they are completely imaginary. Sure, we can decribe real things in terms of numbers and math can be a powerful tool, but there is no real object that is 'four' and only 'four'.
So the only way you are going to get an answer to this one is an unsatisfactory definitional one. The number that comes after four is whatever you define it to be, and nobody can really ever say that your definition is WRONG, just DIFFERENT from the one they use.
There is something to be said for voluntarily adopting a system as identical as possible to those that others use... but that is not clear to you, it is probably the subject of a more protracted discussion.

All 'x' that satisfy the inequality (x > 4) come after 4. Of course, there is an infinite number of them.
Now, if you asked 'What number comes after 4 and before every other number that comes after 4?' the answer would be 'none'. Because you can always find a number that is closer to 4 than any number you choose, unless you chose 4, which is not 'after' 4 itself.

"if nothing comes before 4", then everything "rightfully follows" after it.
Infinite numbers come after 4.
