America is ready for a President who can run the country efficiently, whether it is a man or a woman. I don't think gender is much of an issue at this point, Americans just want a good leader.

No, America is not ready but that is exactly what America needs. I think that we need a woman more though. Women usually don't jump to war the first thing something bad happens.

Yes, I believe we are more than ready, and it's about time. There will always be racists and misogynists who spew stupidity about either one. But, I have been shocked at the amount of men who are openly supporting Hillary Clinton, and not as shocked about the support of Obama. I think that when this country was looking at Colin Powell back when, he would have won had he ran. I understand his family's concerns and I understand why he didn't, but the surge of support for even the possibility of him running set the stage for Obama running today, even unconsciously, in the minds of a lot of Americans.

WOW! What an original question!
Black or woman president? Sure, why not.
Hillary Clinton? No, 1 Clinton sociopath as president was 1 too many.
Barack Obama as President? No, we don't need an empty suit in the white house.

funny you should ask, just this morning my other half and i had this VERY discussion. She is a political science major and it is of interest that we both came to the same conclusion: THERE IS TO MUCH OLD MONEY IN POLITICS TO LET EITHER ONE HAPPEN. This will divide the democratic party as it did when Dukakis ran with Ferraro in the 80's...just a thought

I wouldn't mind but based on some of the comments and bigotry I have seen from posters on YA it may be tough.
