I don't want to sound gay, but I was really touched by "The Notebook". It was a really good movie, and Rachel McAdams is one of the HOTTEST women in movies right now. OH, I also likes 8 Seconds, although I don't know if you'd consider it a romantic movie, but then again, The Notebooke really isn't a comedy, now is it. Pay no attention to this answer, I guess I was way off. Sorry.

I'm gonna go with Elizabethtown. I guess you could call it a romantic comedy. It's funny in it's own way.
Mainly because it's more like an independant film than most romantic comedies.

My favorite romantic comedy is "The Story of Us" with Bruce Willis and Michelle Pfifer. You'll laugh and cry. It's not old but it is prob. late 90's early 2000's .
