I was thinking about taking my date to see 300. I saw it already with several of my buddies and it is a straight out "guy" movie. It aint a chick flick at all. Do you think some of the actions in the movie will be too gruisome for my date? She doesnt really know what the movie is about but she heard that it's an action movie. I say it's more like a very gruisom action movie and might be too bloody for some females.

Are you kidding...I'm a girl and the movie was amazing. I would say a woman would appreciate this film more than a man. There's a bit of comedy and humor in the film and not to add a whole lot of girl power from the Queen. Take her, she'll love it. Besides there's 300 men with crazy abs staring at you the whole time. You can't go wrong by taking her and if you do, leave her because she obviously has horrible taste in movies. Good luck!

I will probably go see it this weekend with my husband. Its not my top selection but it looks okay. Women are romantics, they enjoy watching movies about love & relationships. Men typically enjoy actions and thrillers but that doesnt mean either hate the others. It really depends on what type of girl your date is if she will enjoy 300. Why dont you just casually ask her? If she doesnt want to see it Im sure she will have another suggestion (I personally want to see Premonition more than 300)
So just ask her. I bet she is thrilled to be going out with you and will enjoy whatever movie you two see together!
Have fun.

I love horror movies and some action flicks, but after my husband saw "300" without me, he said I would NOT like the movie.

It's a good question, but I think you might want to err on the side of caution and see something else.

Good luck!

If she likes action/war movies at least somewhat, sure... find out if she liked braveheart, troy or gladiator at all. 300 is cool b/c it has a strong female role (the queen) and, of course, half naked men with rock hard bodies doesn't hurt ;-) Bonus: she just might be turned on by the movie... I was & I've seen similar posts by other women who've seen it :-)

I loved it!, and I'm a woman, but I like that style of movie, plus I was one of three women, in the sold out theater, a little intimidating when the lights come on.
Ask her if she liked Sin City, it's from the same makers, then she will have a better idea of what she is getting into. 300 is way better, but it has the same harshness to it.

I'm into a lot of other genres besides "chick flicks" but Ive seen the trailer for 300 and it just doesn't fit my personal style and I think I would hate it. My fiance wants to go see it, but he can see it by himself heh. So really it just depends on your date's tastes.

I'm a female and I love these types of movies. I'm actually going this weekend with my boyfriend to see it. If you're not for sure whether or not to take her, then I would explain to her what to expect to see in this movie. Base her reaction from what you tell her whether or not to go.
